From the depths of Glasgow’s producer scene, a new imprint has formed by the name of High Sheen, and before its inaugural release appears later this month, the label has passed along this tune from hometown producers HaHaHa and Raksha. “Intercourse” is definitely a smart choice of audio with which to spread news of the new endeavor, as it’s a solid house tune packed with rolling rhythms and exuding just the right touch of overdriven warmth. Between the droning string samples, percolating percussion, and infectiously pitched piano chords, it appears HaHaHa and Raksha have put together what the kids nowadays are calling a “big tune.” If this is what High Sheen is willing to offer up for free, we’ll be eagerly awaiting what else the label has in store, beginning with its debut release—a collaborative effort between the two artists featured here and fellow Glaswegian Mia Dora (artwork for that above)—set to drop on April 16.
