An aspiring diplomat and the son of a Soviet-era Racing Car champion, Philipp Gorbachev is not your average techno producer. Hailing from Russia, Gorbachev splits his time between being a key figure in Moscow’s blossoming club culture and drumming in the studio of the cult avant-garde group Zvuki Mu. Most recently, Gorbachev his single “The Weeping Tune” via his imprint, PG Tune. In a video interview, he explains his reasoning behind the name of the track:

“Before being able to play shows, I was weeping a lot. That’s how I know… that nothing works without love. Weeping is not a dark and tragic state, it’s a revelation and sign of upcoming joy. That’s what “The Weeping Tune” is all about.”
