MUTEK is a name that any electronic-music aficionado should be familiar with. Launched over 16 years ago in Montreal, it’s a festival that’s been unwavering in its mission to showcase innovative and avant-garde electronics and art.

Celebrating it’s 17th edition, Mutek Montreal has announced its initial lineup with a wave of internationally recognized artistic excellence. Among the first list of artists to lead the charge for this cutting-edge festival are Francesco Tristano, Galcher Lustwerk, Tim Hecker, Function, Powell, Flanger, Dasha Rush, and many more.

Returning to its original venue, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC), Mutek by day will host a number of impressive showrooms, conferences, workshops, virtual reality displays and unforgettable audio/visual displays. As the sun sets and attendees get ready to let loose, the festival’s night performances will branch off into various venues in Montreal’s vibrant downtown area.
