“Crown Chakra” serves as the opening effort for Los Angeles producer/visual artist Jesse Pimenta’s (a.k.a. Dreams) latest EP, a collection of three club-wise tracks self-released as a free EP and an online web experience. Said to be made using a combination of sampling and sounds culled from an ’80s-era Korg DW-6000 synth, “Crown Chakra” spends as much time chopping up its space-age chords and FX as it does running through a series of potent variations on its jacking rhythms—resulting in an efficient but effective club track.
