Last month, Gary Beck sent us “Hopkin,” a booming cut from his debut full-length for Soma, Bring a Friend. Here, we have the Glasgow producer’s video for “Algoreal,” the second track off that LP, a grinding, teeth-gritting production that passes through moments of anti-gravity. The grueling, paranoid techno is accompanied by appropriately creepy imagery: A cluster of giant, black, bird-like monsters tear apart chunks of meat as a pale, white-haired woman in a long white dress looks on and meanders about the mossy environs.
