Shimmering keys, jabbing synths and a plaintive piano melody highlight the gospel-tinged original, while fellow Chi-boys Blakbeatniks remix the whole mess to edgier, more epic heights. Of course, Carroll’s brazenly classic vocals make this fundamentally good-good.
