PΛRΛ (sometimes spelled PARA and pronounced “para” ) is a project started by Mickey Babalon in 2018. It is focused on musical experimentation within various genres of dancefloor-oriented electronics. First singles released on $upra and Xenonyms clearly
derived from dubstep and techno aesthetics but in a rather minimalistic and deconstructive manner. Those were directly followed by a series of dj mixes recorded for Sub FM and Jerome Worldwide to name a few. Mickey was born in Poland, spent a big part of his childhood in the UK, lived in the US and Philippines and currently resides in China. He was introduced to electronic music at an early age through The Prodigy, Thunderdome compilations and works of Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm and Aphex Twin. Later fascination with drum and bass and jungle pushed him towards collecting records, first attempts at djing and, finally, producing. He is currently working on his first solo EP.
