SASA is the project of Orlando based DJ/Producer Stereo 77. Trading his usual style of heavy Afro-Caribbean inspired beats & breaks, for a minimal and vividly romantic sound inspired by a love for the flamenco and guitar driven fusion jazz of the 70s, and ambient compositions – mixed with personal field recordings from various cities, and a variety of live instrumentation.
Beat-wise, SASA delivers a sound influenced by the rhythms of dusty trip-hop and folktronica, interweaved with hints of 90s era bass music, soulful tropical beats, and cinematic ambience.
A combination sure to interest fans of Gotan Project, Federico Aubele, and the melancholic cut and paste aesthetics of an early Broadway Project.
