My artist name is “brtrnd” [pronounced ‘Bertrand’]. I’m from Montreal, Canada. I’ve been producing electronic music for six years. For the past three years, I have been making electronic music which is inspired by techno, house, and other types of dance music.

I’ve worked with artists such as Hayake (also known as Jiwoo), Falcxne, Tibe, Magoni (also known as Gonima @goni__ma) and more.

In my upcoming album entitled “mattered”, I draw inspiration from artists like Jim E Stack, Patricia, Myrryrs, Ouri, Pascäal, Andy Stott, Shlohmo and more. I started working on this album from the onset of the pandemic and have since developed it into a work whose theme is consistent, and whose sound is contemporary. The album was mastered by DJ Swisha, and the cover artwork was done by James Rönkkö – who has produced artwork for Clairo. The album is supported by producers such as Cautious Clay (@cautiousxclay), Jiwoo (@maisonjiwoo), DJ Swisha (@djswisha), Rei Brown (@reibrown), Falcxne (@falcxne), Tibe (@prodbytibe), Rare (@wvrare), and KLAHRK (@klahrk), to name a few.
