Ruffien – real name Reece Alexander – is a 27-year-old electronic producer from a small town that lays in between Greater London & Essex: Dagenham. He has been known to play own his part in the lo-fi house, techno & electro scenes, but has a diverse palate of inspirations.

Living in a town that is known for its huge past contributions to the European automotive industry yet is also infamous for being one of the most socially & economically scarce places to live in and around London, Ruffien uses that depravity as a driving force for positive change.

There can sometimes be an air of frustration in his music, but also a glimmer of hope – reminiscent to the mind-set of artists that came before him who emerged from the city of Detroit. He grew up listening to Garage, IDM, Hip Hop & Jungle, and those stylistic influences are clearly applied in his own music.

After gaining a show of support from acts such as Dark Sky over the years, and already having eight releases under his belt within the space of three years, Ruffien is a hot prospect to look out for
