Black Cell is the 3rd short album from San Francisco bay area electronic music producer Idea Unsound. It was created in response to rise in police brutality in America over the last year, especially that effecting the African American community. The music of Black Cell incorporates a variety of styles from various musical forms, including jazz, dubstep, hip hop, and electronic avant-garde. The album is mostly wordless, however it does feature samples of political commentary and personal themes concerning African-American culture, police violence, paranoia, and institutional discrimination.
