Cassini, the first single from Secret of Elements’ new album “Chronos“ named after the Italian space probe that came closest to Saturn, shares with it the the ascending circularity of a hypnotic synthesizer loop and the panoramic musical spectrum of the great cosmic spaces. The dance steps that open the piece gradually fade away to reveal a rich and immersive universe of sound, inviting the listener to escape into an interstellar electronic ballad.

About Secret of Elements : Johann Paetzold is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and music activist from Northern Germany. In 2014, he initiated the protests to prevent the closure of the historic Volkstheater in the city of Rostock. The theatre has become a special meeting place for the artist with local cultural actors of dance and theater. “Cassini” is a key piece of the “Saturn Return” choreography by Lester René González and is due to be performed in the same theater in 2021. The music from Secret of Elements has been used in Dior fashion shows and HBO programmes. “Chronos”, his new album, is set to be released April 23rd, 2021.
