Influenced by the atmospheric minimalism of Brian Eno, Rod Modell and Moritz von Oswald’s, Russian-born dub/ambient techno artist Mitry seeks to envelope the listener in warm, malleable techno beats and soothing hypnotic textures.

Debuting last year with the glacial techno EP Homeward, the producer further displays his versatility on the recent 3-track release The Sun on Drift Deeper Recordings. Garnering support from established DJ/producers such as Lars Behrenroth and Lorenzo al Dino, here Mitry sheds his influences to offer deep grooves and sun-kissed tropical atmospheres with a subtle dub edge.

About new EP

Mitry’s latest 4-track EP Night Sessions highlights his yearning for tranquil, evocative soundscapes designed to transport the listener. The title track Slow Flow sets the tone with its spacious, dreamy synths bathed in opulent ambient sweeps, while metallic-sounding pads shimmer over slowly evolving textures and a gentle percussive heartbeat.

Propelled by more prominent beats, Star Collector’s swirling textures are fractured by crackling electronic noise fields. The restful, hypnotic Elevation follows, while Polarity’s twinkling aura closes the EP in style, elevating the mood despite its subtle, stormy atmosphere.
