Downtempo dance beats aplenty this week from a collaboration of two heavyweight electronic producers – Emancipator and Murge.

‘Sea to Sky’ came together after a conversation about their shared interests and appreciation of house music. Collaborating remotely by recording live and sending parts back and forth they soon built a piece that carries the hallmarks of both their production styles as well as a good deal of curve balls and easter eggs setting it aside from your average club cut and making for a unique listen.

Meanwhile Emancipator is already a household name for anyone with more than a passing interest in independent music, famed for his otherworldly live shows and an enviable catalogue of downtempo music all bearing his signature chilled out grooves and tasteful arrangements. He counts an equally impressive stature of fans including NPR, KEXP, KCWR, Billboard, and Vibe.
