Creating lush Electronica soundscapes and dance-oriented music is his calling card and this track reinforces that reputation with a showcase of cerebral electronics and dance focused beats.

‘Brava’ opens with a warm warped plucked harp sample picking out an emotive pattern that leaves the listener feeling close and nostalgic. Stitched together with care and soaked with an analogue warmth that is hard to emulate, the piece has a wonderful charm to it.

This is a contemplative track, with allusions to the tranquility of life in isolated places. There is still an undercurrent of tension throughout the track – it is hard to fully relax when you are living somewhere so remote and isolated.

And this idea is one that Verdance has explored in depth on his island and atoll inspired record… Artistically empathising and re-interpreting the struggles and joys of everyday remote island life, living in isolation, relying on your immediate surroundings and neighbours, being cut off from large parts of civilization.
