Back last month, Opal Tapes released Heat Absorber, the new album by Ukrainian producer Monotronique.

The LP follows an appearance on Opal Tapes’ U S S R compilation back in 2016, and delivers ten ferocious slices of club music. From the sci-fi stabs and hard-punching drums of the opening cut to hyperactive electro of “Pitch That Heat” and the closing track’s tense and eerie pulses, Heat Absorber shows Monotronique to be a master of intense sonic artillery and one to watch in the fast rising Ukrainian scene.

In support of the release, Opal Tapes has offered up a download of “Self Attack,” a searing, cavernous electro cut, available via WeTransfer below.
