Weekly Selections: Rapture Miami, Rhythm Rapport with Losoul, M.A.N.D.Y. at Dialogue

Thursday marks the premiere edition of Rapture Electronic Music Festival. The one-day event–arguably the most exciting new party to pop up among the deluge of electronic music happenings during Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference–will take over a protected and serene section of Virginia Key Beach near Miami. Rapture’s inaugural event will feature four separate beachside music stages, state-of-the-art sound, and an incredible selection of artists to choose from. Highlights of Rapture’s musical offerings include DJ sets from American masters Carl Craig and Dennis Ferrer, live performances from French production whiz Rodriguez Jr. and M-nus affiliate Gaiser, and a rare stateside appearance for Eastenderz boss East End Dubs. Minimal gurus Petre Inspirescu, Rhadoo, and tINI will also perform, among many other top-notch selectors. On Saturday night in Los Angeles, underground promoter Rhythm Rapport will return following the success of their party last month with Melliflow label head Vera. For this month’s edition, organizers have recruited minimal house expert and Playhouse mainstay Losoul for a headlining DJ set at a proper TBA warehouse location. Also on the bill is Euphoria Records contributor Adam Collins, and Amoeba Music’s Jordan Heyser. Presale tickets are available by going here.

Veteran party crew Dialogue will also return to LA’s warehouse district on Saturday night. For this weekend’s event, Dialogue has booked Get Physical bosses and this week’s XLR8R podcast contributors Philipp Jung and Patrick Bodmer (a.k.a M.A.N.D.Y.). The world renowned house and techno duo will play a special extended set at the party in celebration of the release of their album, Double Fantasy. Dialogue’s own MD have been locked in for support.
