London-based imprint Tape Club has announced a new sub-label, Phone Home Records. The micro imprint will be launched with the 1161 EP from Oakviille producer Taylor Barrow, who struck up a relationship with label-head James Alexander Bright (a.k.a. Hairy Hands) via Soundcloud a few years ago. 1161, which takes its name from Barrow’s working studio space address, presents six multi-colored takes on varied dancefloor-focused anthems. Pulled from the release is “Krustiq Bits,” a feel good, beat-driven cut that opens the EP brilliantly, drawing you in with its warm pads and pitched vocals chops for a sunshine filled three-and-a-half minutes. “Krustiq Bits” is available for free below, with the full EP arriving in August.
