Following a string of intriguing releases for the likes of Rawax, I’m a Cliche, Throne of Blood, and No Pain in Pop, among others, London-based production pair In Fields is gearing up to release its debut full-length album, Phantoms, next week via the Desire imprint. Ahead of the record’s release the pair of Ed Cox and Raoul Marks have passed along “Feature Length,” the opening cut from the upcoming nine-track effort. Riding an efficient four-on-the-floor throughout most all of its six-minute run, “Feature Length” is never caught at a standstill, its restlessly active bassline leading the way for a beguiling string of subdued melodies, echoed chords, and metallic clangs to follow. Ahead of Phantoms official release on March 16, the LP can be previewed below, where the full download of In Fields’ “Feature Length” production has also been included.
