A pair of new tracks from NYC experimenter Oneohtrix Point Never have surfaced online. Appearing on the man’s SoundCloud profile earlier today, the frenetic “Rush” is reportedly an outtake from OPN’s excellent R Plus Seven LP (which saw its release via Warp last year), while the equally freeform “Bubs” sees the artist collaborating with PC Music’s A.G. Cook for a production that moves in all sorts of directions despite its condensed run time. Furthermore, the two tracks come with this heartfelt message from OPN’s Twitter, “It’s been a rough year for planet earth and music sometimes feels like a slightly absurd vocation, but I hope this increases joy by _%.”
Both new Oneohtrix Point Never efforts are available to stream and download below, while the producer’s 2013 XLR8R podcast can be revisited here.
