UK pair Akkord (a.k.a. Synkro and Indigo, pictured above) have enlisted the talents of Tri Angle affiliate The Haxan Cloak and fearless sonic experimenter Vatican Shadow for an upcoming remix EP. Simply titled HTH030, the upcoming effort pulls from Akkord’s HTH020 EP, released earlier this year via Houndstooth (and following behind by the pair’s excellent 2013 self-titled debut album).

On the record’s a-side, The Haxan Cloak is said to have “dissected elements from all four tracks on HTH020, reassembling them into a 10-minute masterpiece, a wall of sound that defies classification.” The record’s b-side features Vatican Shadow’s contribution, which takes pieces of Akkord’s “Typeface” and “Greyscale” productions and fuses them together to create “an intricate, ominous techno trip.”

The forthcoming remix 12″ is set to land on November 17; in the meantime, clips of both The Haxan Cloak’s and Vatican Shadow’s remixes can be heard over on Houndstooth’s website.
