Moog‘s Werkstatt-Ø1 Moogfest 2014 Kit was (as its lengthy name implies) originally made for use in a workshop series that took place at the 2014 edition of Moogfest earlier this year. Following that, the kit has been available only at select shops, that is until now, with the announcement from Moog that the “patchable, 100% analog synthesizer” kit will see a full release. Additionally, Moog has also launched an online portal for Werkstatt users to learn about the synthesizer and to share tips on how to modify and add to the kit for one’s own purposes.
The video below gives a better idea of what all the Werkstatt-Ø1 Moogfest 2014 Kit is capable of, showing how it is built piece-by-piece before giving an overview of its default capabilities. The synth kit is currently retailing for $329, and the newly launched Werkstatt Workshop site can be found here.
