Premiere: Point Guard’s New Track is an Ethereal Slice of Electro
Point Guard joins Daze, Reptant, and E Davd on new Sydney label Pure Space.
Later this week, new Sydney label Pure Space will launch with a new VA titled PS001.1.
For the last two years, Pure Space has operated as a weekly radio show hosted by Andy Garvey—who will also head up the label arm—and produced by Mija Healey on Sydney’s FBi Radio. Like the radio show, the label arm will focus on Australian music both for home listening and the club, and the label’s first release will feature four club-focused cuts from Daze, Melbourne’s Reptant, Sydney producer Point Guard, and E Davd.
Musically, the EP presents a diverse set of floor fillers, with the a-side featuring Daze’s frenetic, modulated techno cut “Advanced Reality” and the deeper, broken beat vibes of Reptant’s “Microstructure.” On the flip, Point Guard delivers a smooth-as-silk electro cut, while E Davd closes out the release with his own take on electro, this time a fathoms-deep slice of aquatic bliss.
PS001.1 is set to drop on April 5 and can be pre-ordered here, with Point Guard’s “The Xhase” streaming in full below.
Tracklisting:
A1. Daze “Advanced Reality”
