After releasing John Heckle’s Laid Away EP earlier this year, Liverpool’s fledgling Scenery imprint is set to return in September with the Recollections EP from hometown producer Bantam Lions. Along with two new efforts from Bantam Lions, the four-track EP will also include remixes from another Liverpool talent, The Cyclist (pictured above), and Opal Tapes affiliate Cloudface.
Ahead of Recollections‘ release, we are treated to a full stream of The Cyclist’s remix of its title track. Spanning over six minutes, the rework is led by a crisp drum machine, which steadily rolls as The Cyclist—who we deemed one of 2013’s best new artists—layers gooey pads, crystalline chords, and warm, overdriven synth lines atop the procession. The Cyclist’s new remix can be streamed in full below before Bantam Lions’ upcoming EP lands on September 8 via Scenery; preview clips for the rest of the EP can be heard here.
