Billed as a “modern-day equivalent of the L.A. wrecking crew,” the debut album from time-tested DJ and veteran sonic adventurer DJ Harvey‘s Wildest Dreams project can now be heard in full. The group’s upcoming self-titled effort takes a somewhat unexpected path away from the more dancefloor and disco-friendly sounds DJ Harvey is more commonly associated with, as he and his crew are said to craft psychedelic, rock-based excursions “inspired by the landscape of L.A and its surroundings for your road and acid trip.” Officially out on July 29 via Smalltown Supersound, Wildest Dreams can be streamed in its entirety now via NPR.
