With the impact of his debut long-player, Glass Swords, still present throughout much of the electronic music realm, Glasgow producer Rustie has announced plans to return to the venerable Warp label with his sophomore LP later this summer. Titled Green Language, the 13-track effort is said to showcase a more “personal and mature” side to Rustie’s productions while still reflecting “his early love of shoegaze, grime, trance, and Dirty South hip-hop.” Furthermore, Green Language is said to have been put together with a specific goal in mind, with Rustie’s forthcoming album intended as a reflection of “the euphoria he felt during raves he attended as a teen, and the joy he gets from making music.”
Featuring a handful of guest artists including Numbers affiliate Redinho, Stateside rapper Danny Brown, grime MC D Double E, and Gorgeous Children, Rustie’s Green Language LP will see its official release on August 25. In the meantime, the LP’s artwork and tracklist have been included below where a stream of album cut “Raptor” can also be found; Rustie’s upcoming US tour dates can also be perused below.
