Fast-ascending Los Angeles producer and a regular jock at the city’s A Club Called Rhonda parties, Cromie will release his first proper solo EP via Brooklyn’s Peach label next week. A four-track effort which includes a remix from Suzanne Kraft, Cromie’s forthcoming Inner Knows EP can now be streamed in full ahead of its release.
Earlier this year, we picked Cromie—who inaugurated the Peach label with his collaborative “Vines” b/w “Pyrex” 12″ alongside fellow LA producer Sage Caswell—as one of 2014’s Artists to Watch (again, alongside Caswell), and Inner Knows seems to find the Croatian-born producer beginning to deliver on that promise. Across three originals, the SoCal talent crafts a diverse set of crisp, floor-ready house exercises, with lead cut “How to Stop a Bulldozer” and the record’s title track reaching the deepest while “Flan” follows along a more hardware-aligned path. Officially out on June 23, Cromie’s Inner Knows EP can be streamed in its entirety over on FACT.
