Set to drop on Monday, Mumdance‘s Take Time EP is set to offer four new grime-indebted productions from the fast-ascending UK producer, who was recently featured in one of Tim and Barry’s Beat This production videos and is also set to drop a collaborative mix album with Tectonic boss Pinch in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Mumdance (real name Jack Adams) has made available a full stream of a new cut from his forthcoming record for Rinse.
Spanning just over four minutes, “The Sprawl” begins with a bed of alien textures, which are left to brew on their own until Adams introduces a series of hard-hitting, space-age percussion sounds, programmed in such a way that their off-kilter rhythms occasionally find a perfect sync. Mumdance’s latest otherworldly production can be streamed in full below before his Take Time EP lands on June 16.
