Prospering Parisian label ClekClekBoom—helmed by local house DJ/producer French Fries—will soon follow up last year’s first edition of the Paris Club Musiclabel compilation with a second installment. The two-disc/single LP offering is said to continue last year’s trend of featuring a split between exclusive new tracks and a summary of the label’s existing catalog, which were all largely inspired by “cyborgs, lo-fi and Chicago’s ghetto grooves,” as well as by Paris itself. Contributing exclusive new tracks to the compilation’s first disc are Jean Nipon, Manaré, Bambounou, label boss French Fries himself, and more, with hand-picked selections on the second disc from Coni, Aleqs Notal, and Aethority, just to name a few. Before Paris Club Music Vol.2 sees its official release on June 30, an enticing new launch video can be viewed below, where the complete vinyl and CD tracklists for the upcoming collection are also included.
