With Laurel Halo‘s (pictured above) sophomore LP for Hyperdub and Peter Van Hoesen‘s hour-long live album for Tresor (an imprint we recently profiled as part of our Labels We Love week) set to drop very soon, both records have now been made available to stream in full before seeing their official releases.
The nine-track Chance of Rain album will serve as Brooklyn producer Laurel Halo’s second full-length for Kode9’s Hyperdub imprint, and has been described as “a cerebral exploration of the intersection between rhythmic and ambient music, drawing together ideas of movement and stillness, psychedelia, and presence of mind.” Now, we can have a much better idea of what that all means with the forthcoming effort streaming in full over on Pitchfork Advance before it hits physical and digtial music outlets on October 28.
Recorded as a live performance at Berlin’s Tresor club back in July of this year, Peter Van Hoesen’s Life Performance LP presents 60 minutes of new material made using the producer’s hardware-focused arsenal of live gear and incorporating many instances of in-the-moment improvisation. Before Life Performance drops next month via Tresor, the 14-track endeavor can be heard in its entirety via Resident Advisor.
