Following his contribution to the recent LGBT Rights for Russia Now compilation, the ever prolific Danny Wolfers has shared a new mix ahead of his Legowelt performance on September 28 with Dopplereffekt at one of London’s Bloc events. The haunted mix is saturated with Wolfer’s beloved acid house sounds as filtered through murky, John Carpenter-like synth textures. Not unlike Legowelt’s most recent full-length, the DJ/producer’s set takes the listener through a collection of foggy textures and bits of Detroit techno’s past. The lack of a tracklist intensifies the mix’s obscuration, each sketch of a track slips into the next, making it a sort of map of where Legowelt’s head is stylistically as of late.
