Today, Brooklyn-based producer KRTS (a.k.a. Kurtis Hairston) has asked us to debut this visual piece for “Fire,” a track taken from Dread of an Unknown Evil, his latest release for Project:Mooncircle. The relatively simple video features three sequences: a living portrait of Hairston, followed by dancing, mime-like hands, and finally, flashing, colored light. In truth, the clip appears to represent more of a moment in time than a greater narrative, but it’s nonetheless a fitting accompaniment for the song, which is anchored by a forward-moving rhythm and a deep, humming bassline, but offers only a minimal melody. Those looking for more of Hairston’s music should take note that we posted the title track from Dread of an Unknown Evil back in December, which can still be found here.
