Portland-based producer Natasha Kmeto opens “Dirty Mind Melt,” the title track from her forthcoming EP for hometown label Dropping Gems, with dramatic chords and her own warped vocals before she drops a bold, hip-hop-oriented beat. While the vocals continue their confessional, the beat evolves into an increasingly intricate beast as a swirling synth melody bubbles over the booming bassline. Look for the rest of Kmeto’s four-track Dirty Mind Melt EP to appear on February 19.
