The original version of “Into the Night” by Davis, the collaborative project with Matthewdavid (pictured above) on production and Serengeti on vocals, is set to appear as part of the forthcoming Dual Form compilation, a collection put together by both Stones Throw and Matthewdavid’s Leaving label. But before that release drops on January 22 (although it should be noted that Dual Form is out now as a limited double-casette), Matthewdavid has passed along the fuzzy, ’80s soul-sampling instrumental version of “Into the Night” to preview the release and inform our readers of his planned mini-tour through California.
