If you’re a fan of dancefloor-friendly tracks driven solely by percussion and bass, than the Drum Kids EP is for you. Netherlands-based imprint Animal Language has put together a compilation packed with seven original pieces by various house producers from around the world. Instructed by the label to only use drum machines, beat generators, rhythm reactors, and blunt instruments, Dutch duo Mason created a track that, despite its stripped-down nature, is sure to excite any house-inclined dancefloor. Built upon a fat kick, a variety of congas, lethal snares, and a healthy helping of 808s, “Roffelo”‘s only source of melody is the pitch of the cowbell that dominates the drop and accelerates the groove. Be sure to look out for the rest of the Drum Kids EP when it drops on February 11.
