The Leeds-based producer—not to mention co-founder of the Hypercolour imprint (which was just profiled during XLR8R‘s Label We Love Week)—Ste Roberts has lent two tracks to the forthcoming Rapscallions sampler for London’s Save You label, one of which is the dubby remix by Youandewan featured in the video above. While the laidback roll of this tune pulses with dubbed-out chord hits and what sounds like subdued record scratches, various stop-motion instances flash across the screen and make for a visual accompaniment that can be haunting and beautiful in the same moment.
