The internationally renowned Kompakt label has just announced the details for Pop Ambient 2013, its enduring, annual compilation. As we’ve come to expect, the series features a variety of high-quality and melodic ambient music from like-minded artists affiliated with the German outpost. Specifically, 2013’s 14-track offering boasts some exciting, never-before-heard material, like Michael Mayer’s remix of “Sully” by fellow Kompakt co-founder Wolfgang Voigt. Kompakt favorites Matias Aguayo and Jörg Burger also debut their collaboration with a track entitled “Cirrus Minor” from their new project Terrapi, which arrives alongside contributions from the likes of DJ Koze, Simian Mobile Disco, newcomer Daniel Avery, and more.
