Last we heard from UK producer Lukid he was remixing the likes of BNJMN and newcomer Samoyed, which was about a year ago. Now, after a long period of quietly releasing 12″s via his GLUM label and working on soundtracks, the artist has announced his next LP, a 12-track record for Actress’ Werk Discs imprint. Called Lonely at the Top, Lukid’s new album is said to inspired by a bag of old cassettes containing a mix of classical music, disco, and instructional language courses which he would “[record back and forth and mess with] so many times that by the end it was a complete mess and totally distorted.” While you wait for Lonely at the Top to appear on October 22, you can get a small taste of Lukid’s new music by downloading album cut “USSR,” here.
