Young UK bass specialist A1 Bassline has done quite a bit already in his career, and now his enviable list of releases and collaborations is bolstered more so with the announcement that he’ll soon inaugurate his own label with a brand-new 12″. “Slur” b/w “Slingback” has a street date of August 20, and will arrive via SOURCEUNKNWN, the dubiously titled imprint helmed by Christian Sibthorpe. Speaking on his latest endeavor, the producer says, “My new label gives me the freedom to write music with no boundaries. I am not aiming for a specific sound with the label, it’s more of an unrestricted platform for my music… It’s almost impossible to hear something completely original today, but I think that by merging different genres, I can create something new and interesting.” You can hear snippets of A1 Bassline’s new tunes before they drop next month, below.
