Manchester’s shoegaze band-turned-production duo Ghosting Season (a.k.a. Gavin Miller and Thomas Ragsdale) has offered up this alternate version of “A Muffled Sound of Voices,” one of the cuts from its recent debut album, The Very Last of The Saints. According to Miller, this incarnation of the song is the version he and Ragsdale play live, which we imagine is quite an expereince. The production is as ominous and haunting as the group’s name, layering endless reverb over thinly stretched vocals, gliding synths, heartbeat-like kicks, and a restless rhythm to make a powerful companion to Ghosting Season’s original production.
