Just a few months after releasing German duo Mouse on Mars’ first album in a decade, Modeselektor‘s Monkeytown imprint has picked up another veteran act, Miami-based producer Otto von Schirach. An accomplished and eccentric artist, Von Schirach began his DJ career at age 12 in 1990, bought his first drum machine in 1991, and has subsequently produced everything from breakcore and electro to calypso and dubstep. He also heads up his own TRIANGLE EARTH label, also based in Miami. Supermeng (artwork above), his first album since 2009’s Magic Triangle, will be available on CD, digital, and double vinyl on August 3 in Europe, August 6 in the UK, and August 7 in the US.
