If there’s one word that can be used to accurately describe the members of Parisian DJ crew Club Cheval, it’s energetic. For most artists, simply throwing parties, touring the globe, and constantly releasing tunes would be sufficient, but apparently that’s not quite enough for Myd, who’s decided to launch a new mix series and premiere the first chapter here on XLR8R. Known within the Club Cheval crew as the vocal specialist, he’s assembled a mix called Vocal Drafts Vol. 1 that puts some of his cutting and chopping skills in the spotlight. In his own words, “While we were working on the Club Cheval album as well as producing tracks for others, I made a lot of pieces of demos, vocals, etc. It was really important for me to release them and play them in clubs.” He’s composed original artwork for the mix, which you can check out below along with the complete tracklist and, of course, the mix itself. As if that wasn’t enough, Myd has also teamed up with Canblaster to put together a new video for the song “Everybody Got to Learn Sometimes,” which appears on the mix.
