Nehuen is another producer to rise out of last year’s Red Bull Music Academy class—one we even featured in our ‘Fresh Faces’ piece after seeing him in action in Madrid. Now, we’ve gotten our hands on “Hotel,” a tune the Barcelona-by-way-of-Buenos Aires beatsmith cooked up while in the midst of his two-week session at RBMA, turning out a refreshingly smooth take on the territory between deep house and juke. Even better, he’s managed to fold in some elements that are pleasantly reminiscent of Art of Love’s seminal “Moments In Love,” resulting in a production that not only highlights the burgeoning producer’s talents but also reminds us how fresh “Moments In Love” still sounds to this day.
