Paul Jones‘ debut solo EP, Broken Arrow (artwork above), finds the Astro Nautico boss exploring the bumpy terrain of abstract and wonky beat music, but this remix by label co-chief Obey City smoothes out those bumps and cruises along as a jumping UK garage cut. The tumultuous, off-beat synth lines of the original are fit into a locked rhythm here, and the song is propelled by restless percussion that feels demanding, but is still quite suitable for the dancefloor.
