The Blunted Robots badman most commonly known as Shortstuff has announced he will be releasing his next 12″ under another production moniker, Mickey Pearce, and will be dropping the other pseudonym for good. On the name change, the UK tunesmith born Richard Attley says, “To be honest, the Mickey Pearce productions were always where I felt more comfortable. Towards the end of last year, I was getting more and more disillusioned with the old name and some of the associations that went with it, so it felt like a good time to make the change.” The first full-fledged Mickey Pearce record, “Don’t Ask Don’t Get” b/w “I Am,” will drop around late October/early November via Swamp81.
