Following on the heels of his freshly released Bad Vibes LP, California beatsmith Shlohmo has dropped a diverse, syrupy mix for FACT‘s ongoing mix series. Not happy to simply present the sounds of the LA-and-beyond beat scene he’s often associated with, Shlohmo has instead turned in an adventurous mix that touches on everything from fellow off-kilter beat heads Asura and Groundislava to slowed-the-fuck-down hip-hop and R&B from the likes of Three Six Mafia, Monica, and The Clipse. Just to keep things interesting, contributions from Charles Manson (yes, that Charles Manson) and Tom Waits somehow find their way onto the tracklist as well.
