UK musicmaker Sam Willis (who also happens to be half of WALLS) has a new single on the way, produced under his solo moniker Snoretex for the Buzzin’ Fly label. The “Strange Aeons” 12″ (pictured above) drops on March 28 with Willis’ original tune on the a-side and a remix from Boo Williams & Glenn Underground on the flip, but here we have a special “club mix” that won’t appear on the vinyl release. This alternate version of Snoretex’s new tune takes the original’s somber mood even further down the rabbit hole into a world where uptempo music doesn’t necessitate distorted melodies, bombastic rhythms, and mind-numbing bass tones. Instead, we’re treated to a deep soundscape that’s thick with foggy atmospheres and woozy synth sparkles, all of which waft alongside a subtle and steady dance beat that could just as easily appear in a slow-burning techno mix as it could the chillout room next door.
