Burgeoning UK basscase Hyetal already has quite a trail of excellent singles, EPs, and mixes behind him (his exclusive podcast for XLR8R being one of them), but on May 2, the talented producer can add a full-length LP to his repertoire. The 10-track Broadcast will drop via Bristol-based imprint Black Acre, which will also release the preceding single, “Diamond Islands,” on April 11. On the inspiration behind that fresh track, Hyetal says, “I wanted to make something stripped back, so most of it’s just [vocalist Alison Garner], sub-bass, a drum machine, and this weird atmosphere. When I wrote it, I was listening to “Garlands” by Cocteau Twins and really stripped-back hip-hop beats.” You can check out the album artwork and tracklist for Hyetal’s forthcoming album, along with a stream of the lead tune, below.
