I’m Gus la Tempête. I’m making beats for over 15 years. I’ve been part of Electric conversation. A Parisian crew making trip hop music. We released two albums on Futuristica Music in 2007 and 2012. Label founded by Dj Simon S (Break reform, Deborah Jordan). After crew split up, I continue in solo.
I just released a beat collection called ∆ï∆M. I made this beats with an old Sp 12 by E-mu and a kurzweil sampler. Its kind of lo-fi with sometimes electro taste (Amour maternel, Entre deux mondes).
This project its not about performance but feelings. Its dedicated to baby girl we’ve lost last year with my wife and I needed to tell some stories about what we’ve been going through during the lost and the months after this tragedy. I was away from music and when I get back on machines I needed to express myself straight, very simply, basic style, and sometimes lo-fi. It made me feel better doing this beats and I’m glad today to share it.
