Following his hunger for new projects, Maxime Dangles worked on the soundtrack of “Les Délivrés”, a documentary directed by Thomas Grandremy about the alarming working conditions of delivery men/women employed by platforms such as Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Maxime Dangles echoes through his music to the struggle of these workers. « Affrontement », the first single of the soundtrack, talks about their fight for social justice. With raw and striking sounds, sometimes remembering sound of a factory, relates to the alienation of this kind of job. Even with a touch of melancholic, the harsh sound brings back to the struggle they are facing. Indeed, an incisive track to push us in our thoughts.
This single is a first extract from a 7-track LP which will be released by October/November 2021. Between ambient, electronica and IDM, this new work from Maxime Dangles is a militant sound narration of great finesse and a poetic extension of the documentary director’s harrowing and necessary documentary. It is affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles’ production and his ability to draw singular landscapes with strong emotions, following in the footsteps of the original soundtracks of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
